OAT
This cereal is made of starch, polysaccharides (beta-glucans and arabinoxylans), peptides, proteins, steroid saponins, sterols, amines, minerals and vitamins (B1,B2 and B12).
Due to the presence of beta-glucan, oat extract has hydrating properties and forms a film to inhibit xanthine oxidase, which is the enzyme that generates free radicals.
Oat extract also has anti-itch properties and helps reduce redness.
It is used in skincare products for the formulation of spray powders, dermal pastes, emulsions, toners, lotions and in all products for sensitive skin and for baby skincare.
Because of its soothing and hydrating properties, oat extract is used in cleansing products in order to increase skin tolerance.
