b. Special categories of personal data

Some sections of the Site (e.g., “contacts”) include free fields where you can provide certain information, which may contain Personal Data.
Since these fields are free, you may use them to communicate (voluntarily or not) certain sensitive categories of Personal Data, such as data revealing racial or ethnic origin, genetic data, biometric data intended to uniquely identify a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a person's sex life or sexual orientation.

d. Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the Site acquire, during their normal operation, some Personal Data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the Site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, and the numerical code indicating the status of the server response (successful, error, etc.).) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and IT environment. This data is used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the Site and to monitor its proper functioning, identify anomalies and/or abuse, and is deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the site or third parties: except for this eventuality, web contact data is not currently retained.

e. Cookies

Definitions, characteristics and application of the legislation

Cookies are small text files that websites send and store on your computer or mobile device, which are then retransmitted to the same websites upon your next visit. Cookies allow websites to remember your actions and preferences (such as login information, language, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they don't have to be re-entered when you return to the website or navigate from one page to another. Cookies are therefore used to perform computer authentication, monitor sessions, and store information regarding the activities of users who access a website. They may also contain a unique identifier that allows the user's browsing within the website to be tracked for statistical or advertising purposes. While browsing a site, the user may also receive cookies on his computer from sites or web servers other than the one he is visiting (so-called third-party cookies“).
Some operations cannot be performed without the use of cookies, which in some cases are therefore technically necessary for the functioning of the site.
There are various types of cookies, depending on their characteristics and functions, and these can remain on the user's computer for different periods of time: cd session cookies, which is automatically deleted when the browser is closed; cd persistent cookies, which remain on the user's equipment until a pre-established expiry date.

Pursuant to applicable law, the use of cookies does not always require the user's express consent. Specifically, "technical cookies," i.e., those used for the sole purpose of transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user, generally do not require such consent. In other words, these are cookies that are essential for the functioning of the site or necessary to perform activities requested by the user.
Among technical cookies, which do not require express consent for their use, the Italian Data Protection Authority (see Provision Identification of simplified methods for providing information and obtaining consent for the use of cookies of 8 May 2014 and subsequent clarifications, hereinafter only “Measure“) also includes:

• “analytics cookies” where used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site itself, or provided by third parties in anonymised form by reducing their identifying power and by signing contractual obligations between the site manager and the third party involved which commit the latter not to cross-reference the information collected with other information that may already be in its possession,
• navigation or session cookies (for authentication),
• functional cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided to the user.

For the "profiling cookies", on the other hand, i.e., those aimed at creating user profiles and used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the internet, usually require the user's prior consent, although this depends on the applicable legislation. However, it should be noted that this type of cookie is not used on the Site.

By disabling technical and/or functional cookies, the Site may not be accessible, or some services or certain functions of the Site may be unavailable or not function properly, and you may be forced to manually enter certain information or preferences each time you visit the Site (e.g., language).
