CALENDULA
Rich in Flavonoids (including Quercetin), it also contains carotenes, glycosides of oleanolic acid, saponosides, triterpene alcohols (calenduladiol, faradiol, arnidiol), sterols (sitosterol, stigmasterol), essential oil, allantoin and mucilage.
The active ingredients of the drug, in particular the flavonoids, perform a significant anti-inflammatory effect on sensitive and inflamed skin.
They also stimulate tissue granulation and the epithelialization, accelerate epidermal turnover and promote the activity of dermal fibroblasts by promoting collagen synthesis.
Calendula extracts improve skin hydration and stimulate the blood flow, making the skin more elastic and therefore more resistant to mechanical and chemical irritation.
Thanks to its important anti-redness, anti-inflammatory, soothing and vasoprotective properties on the microcirculation, it is a stimulant of the re-generation of the epidermis and dermis. It represents a fundamental ingredient in the formulation of cosmetic products intended for sensitive, dry, delicate or chapped skin, in after-sun, aftershave or in baby products.
