ROSE HIP
Rose hip is the most common species of wild rose in Italy. It is a perennial shrub that is usually found along the edges of woods.
Its fruit is particularly rich in vitamin C. When fresh, in terms of weight, it contains up to 400 times more than citrus fruits. Although drying reduces this quantity to one fifth, a high concentration still remains.
Rose hip extract is also rich in Tannins, Carotenoids, Vitamin P, Riboflavin, Malic Acid, Citric Acid, Nicotinic Acid, Pectin and Bioflavonoids.
In cosmetics, it is efficient in smoothing and toning the skin and has an excellent lightening effect.
Furthermore, it prevents wrinkles and is extremely useful in situations of excessive exposure to UVA rays, such as sunburn, while protecting against free radicals.
Rosa Canina is therefore used for the formulation of scented waters, anti-aging and anti-wrinkle creams, soothing ointments against sunburn and face masks for toning, smoothing and astringent action.
The richness of active ingredients makes it an useful phytoextract in products that require a protective action on the microcirculation, toning the dermis and epidermis, smoothing, astringent, purifying, soothing and anti-aging.
